Leslieville started out as a home for gardeners and brick-makers way back in 1850.

The small village was built around the Toronto Nurseries owned by George Leslie.

150 plus years later, Leslieville has grown into an eclectic neighbourhood full of coffee shops, restos, and unique, indie-owned stores.

Leslieville is also home to many film and TV production companies and you'll often see neighbourhood homes and shops serving as sets.

Many of the residents lean toward the left politically and in fact, a New Democrat has been elected in Leslieville in every election since 1963.
